The object is handcrafted from oak wood, locally sourced in Poland. Each piece possesses distinct individual characteristics, as well as specific technical and material qualities, making it unique, one-of-a-kind, and singular in nature. Each is signed and certified. Each object is the result of the fusion of traditional craftsmanship techniques, the artist’s skilled mastery, refined minimalist aesthetics, and a unique philosophy of working with wood. This philosophy is founded on collaboration and dialogue with nature, as well as a profound understanding of the specific qualities of sculptural wood and the ability to adapt the artistic vision to the nature and complexity of the material. The artist allows nature to fully resonate in each of his projects, making it an equal co-creator of the work. In line with this approach, he shapes his objects in ways that emphasize not only the natural qualities of the wood, such as the grain patterns and color, but also its imperfections, such as knots, cracks, or discolorations. The artist also deliberately leaves tool marks on the surfaces of his pieces and embraces the natural processes of transformation and aging in wood, including wrinkling, cracking, and color changes. These elements are additional unique attributes of each piece, contributing to its exceptional history and giving it an unmatched, one-of-a-kind character.
